Wildland firefighters by experience.
Neighbors by nature.
Our Story
Wild Ember Fire Defense was founded by a group of off-duty wildland firefighters who’ve spent their careers on the front lines of wildfires across the country. With more than 60 combined years of experience in wildland fire, structural fire, and emergency response, our team has seen firsthand how homes ignite, and what it actually takes to protect them.
After years of responding to wildfires from Colorado’s Front Range to fire-prone regions nationwide, we saw a gap between what homeowners were being told about wildfire readiness and what was actually being done to help them. Too often, the advice was generic. The timelines were vague. And the follow-through wasn’t there. Wild Ember was built to change that.
We’re a small, local team with deep roots in the Boulder County community. We understand the terrain, the weather patterns, the vegetation, and the unique risks that come with living at the wildland-urban interface. And we bring the kind of experience that only comes from decades of real-world wildfire response.
Our approach is grounded, human, and honest. We don’t use scare tactics or push services you don’t need. We walk your property, explain what we see, and help you make informed decisions about how to protect your home, at a pace that works for you.
